I am a proud contributor to Migration Facts, a website that reports and discusses empirical evidence about international migration. Migration facts is a project that was born within the framework of “Seminari di Europa” and is sponsored by the University Center for International Cooperation (CUCI) of the University of Parma. The project is motivated on two grounds : first, international migration is a complex phenomenon that will last for decades; second, the so-called “migration problem” is mainly due to distorted information on the facts and trends of international migration. On this basis, the project aims to facilitate the sharing of information and experiences on this topic, having high school students as main target group. This activity takes two forms: (a) involving a group of university students in the development of the migration facts portal and the related social media pages (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter); (b) organizing meetings with high school students to discuss these issues.
